MVP Youth Sports League – Information

About MVP Youth Sports League:

Vision: To establish a flag football league for kids in kindergarten through 8th grade and a basketball league for kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade where the emphasis is on fun, equal playing time, teamwork and skill building.

Each player deserves to be the Most Valuable Player! We strive to make MVP the best experience that your child has in youth sports.

MVP Flag Football is offered to boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade – co-ed league.

MVP Youth Basketball is offered to boys and girls in kindergarten through 3rd grade. MVP Basketball is co-ed. *There is a 2nd/3rd grade girls division at the Tualatin (Bridgeport) location.

Mission: Make it fun. This is the primary objective and cornerstone of our philosophy, regardless of whether it is a game or a practice, football and basketball at the youth level should always be fun. This requires a little creativity on the part of the parent/coach to incorporate fun methods of coaching and teaching fundamentals throughout the practice and game.

Flag football teams will consist of 7-10 players. The game format is 5 on 5. Teams will use a rotation system and the coaches will do their best to make sure that your son or daughter will receive equal playing time.

Basketball teams will consist of 7-10 players. The game format is 4 on 4 for teams of 8; 5 on 5 for teams of 10.

There is a coaches meeting prior to the start of each season. Coaching material is provided.

There are exceptions at times, when we go over the maximum amount of players per team based on coach/friend requests and/or number of coaches.

The goal is to provide a first class league for kids to participate in youth sports and enjoy all that team sports has to offer.

MVP focuses on fun while also teaching basic fundamentals of the game. Keeping the teams small so that all kids get the maximum amount of playing time is what MVP is all about.

MVP Youth Sports League is a locally owned family business that was established in 2009 by a husband and wife from Tualatin, Oregon. We are not a franchise. We strive to keep our youth sports programs affordable for families while providing the best youth sports experience for kids. When you contact us by phone or email you will be in touch with us personally, not directed to a phone service elsewhere. We do not believe in early registration discounts or late fees, our registration fee is the same regardless of when you register your child for a program. We are committed to being highly organized and offering the best youth programs to kids in our communities. We want MVP families to know that they are participating in a program that truly cares about offering the best youth sports experience.

MVP is offered to kids residing in any community, regardless of school district. We have many families whose kids are home schooled, attend private or charter schools, as well as public schools.

MVP appreciates the loyalty of the families that participate in our programs. We value your feedback and suggestions.

Everybody deserves to be the Most Valuable Player on the field, in the gym and each and every day!
